After this semester, I will take a break.  I am planning to go to travel, but I have not decided where will I go to.  Then I will prepare for TOEFL; I hope I can pass TOEFL this summer.  If I can pass TOEFL before the fall semester , I will apply graduate school, but now I am still looking for the school .  I will think it clear during the summer break.

In the fall semester, maybe I will come back and continue to study in  ALP, and I want to choose open university classes because in this way, I can learn more knowledge . Actually , I really hope I can go to graduate school next semester.

This semester is very fast , I got a lot of practice in English and I met many friends. I really enjoy the life in America.

      In my opinion, to have quiz, test, and homework assignment thoughout the semester is better to just have the midterms and finals.  Because while we doing the homework and preparing for the quiz and test,we can overview the knowledge we studied in the classes,so if we have questions,we will figure them out as soon as possible.  However,if we just have the midterms and finals, we will have more and more questions, and it will be more difficult to understand.  Moreover, in oder to get a good score during the quizs and tests, I will study hard thoughtout the semeter,but if we just have the midterms and finals. Maybe I will relax on the daily time and study very hard several days before the midterms and finals.

My spring break

        At first, I thought 10 days would be a long time. In fact, 10 days passed so fast . In the beginning of the spring break, I went to Catalina Island with my friends. The view of the island was really beautiful. It seemed that the life on the island was peaceful. Instead of  car,the most common vehicle is the Golf Carts.  I stayed on the island for two days, and the weather was a little bit cold. However,we still decieded to play the kayak. Actully, this is my first time to play Kayak .It was so funny. We slided into the ocean, and stayed on the surface of the water. We enjoyed the sunshine and sea breeze. I felt relax and comfortable. On the second day, we rode bicycle to travel the island. Riding bicycle is one of my favorite sports. We rode very fast and visited many beautiful views. It was a wonderful trip for me. After I came back, I stayed at home to relax. I clearned up my room,watched funny TV problems, and met friends.I really loved my spring break.It was a great time for me.
 

                                                                     My dream job

         My undergradate major is city planning.  I like to draw blue print, and I enjoy the process of designing.  I can learn about the cites' history and define the development direction of cities. I think it is very cool to be a unban planner. That is a good job,and I really like it.  However, if talk about my dream job,I think my dream job would be an actress.  When I was young, I saw the actresses on the television are so beautiful ,and they can wear clothes of different era.  They also could travle to different place to make a film. The most important is that they can experence various of lives. In different plays,they can try different life styles and to be another person. I guess an actress's life is really colorful .It is my dream job because it could enrich my life and help me expand the view of the world.

 

    Behind the right door, there is a beautiful girl.  The soldier feel unbelievable that his lover, the pretty princess encourage him to marry to the other woman. What happened? He told her that she is the only woman in the world which he wants to get married.  He refuses to marry to that girl.  However, for the princess, she can’t stand that her lover torn apart by the lion.  Even though they can’t get married, she wants him to be alive. The king commands his soldiers to kill the man immediately unless he promises to marry to that girl.  But he still persists his choice. The king will kill him, and all of the soldiers have already surrounded him .  At that moment, with a sword withstood her throat, the beautiful princess threaten his father by her life. If his lover be killed, she will together with him to die.

    For the king, this is just a test for the young man because so many people want to married to the princess because of her beauty and status. Obviously, the man has passed the text. Finally, he is married to the princess,and they have a happy life!

Through the veil of time

If I have a super power, I wish I can through the veil of time. 

Sometimes I image I can come back to the ancient because I want to learn about the life in different dynasty.  China is an old country.  It has 2500 years history.  During the long history, there are several dynasties.  Every dynasty has its special culture and closes , and those closes are really beautiful.  Sometimes I dream that if I dress up like that, it will be funny.  Furthermore , if I can through the veil of time, I will meet the people who I want to meet, and communicate with them.  I also can go to the future, and I can see what is going on in the future. One hundred years later, what vehicle will be used ,what kind of house people will live in, and who will be the present of the US,and so on.  That will be really funny and enrich my life.  Maybe I will be more cherish and enjoy my life!

   

    My name is Xiaoyuan. I came here to persue my master degree in civil engineering after I have graduated from university in China.  I grew up in the northeast of China.  My hometown is a small city which is near the ocean, so I really love to eat sea food.

There are three people in my family--my father, my mother and I. My grandpa and my father both work in the hospital.  They are the most kind-hearted person in my mind because they always help other person. I love the life in America . It gives me challenges and build my character, but sometimes I miss my family and my friends.

There are many things I like to do. I love to listen music, sing and watch movies. I also like to do things outdoors. For example, I enjoy playing badminton, and going for walks in the park,especially together with my mother. Besides, I like to travel. I born in northeast of China,butＩwent to Hunan province which is in the middle of China to study. Being the long time in university, I visited several provinces which are located in the south of China. I had a lot of fun during the travel.  I tasted delicious food and experienced different cultures.  Life is beautiful, and I will enjoy my life in America.
